IdeaHack: Build the future

Do you have an idea for a business or social impact project, but don't know where to start? IdeaHack is a transformative 2-week programme, designed to help you take your idea and rapidly test whether it can be a business.

We give you access to tools, start-up experts, funding and hot-desking facilities to prove to yourselves that your idea can be a viable business.

Applications are open NOW, with the programme starting early February, 2020.

So what can you expect?

IdeaHack is a great way for any LSBU student or recent graduate (up to 5 years post graduation) to test their idea for a business. With access to a £50 grant, hot-desking facilities and business experts, IdeaHack is the best place to take your business idea to the next stage.

Thought provoking workshops

Delivered by start-up experts, you'll have access to leading training, helping you quickly develop prototypes to demonstrate and prove your ideas.

Award winning desk space

With access to hot-desking space in The Clarence Centre, you'll be rubbing shoulders with a range of entrepreneurs. From recent graduates to entrepreneurs who run multi-million pound businesses.

Mentoring from business experts

Be inspired by entrepreneurs who run their own successful businesses and are ready to share their time, advice and experience with you; to help you and your business grow.

Build your network

Surround yourself with other enthusiastic student and graduate entrepreneurs, and learn from their journeys, so that you can take your business idea to the next level.

And when does this take place?

Workshops take place in February. You need to be available for AS MANY of the dates as possible.

Workshop 1 - Monday 10th February 1pm to 4pm
Workshop 2 - Wednesday 12th February 1pm to 4pm
Workshop 3 - Friday 14th February 2pm to 5pm
Workshop 4 - Saturday 15th February 10am to 6pm (Lunch provided)
Workshop 5 - Sunday 16th February 10am to 6pm (Lunch provided)
Direct Feedback - Monday 17th/ Tuesday 18th February 10am to 4pm (30 minute sessions)
Workshop 6 - Wednesday 19th February 1pm to 5pm
Workshop 7 and Pitch Party - Friday 21st February 2pm to 5pm

But that's not all...

IdeaHack is just part of a larger programme called IdeaHub. Think of it as just the warm up. As part of IdeaHub, you'll have access to further capital to amplify your business, legal/ IP support to make sure your idea is protected and a weekly programme providing you with further sales, marketing and development support to really help you grow your business.
